Luis E. La Torre is a Business and Immigration attorney based in St. Louis, MO, with extensive commercial, regulatory, transactional, and compliance experience in the U.S. and international markets. He also successfully handles business/employment -based non-immigrant visa petitions, PERM labor certifications, employment and family based immigrant visa petitions, adjustment of status, waivers, and naturalization proceedings.

As part of his international legal career, Luis served as General Counsel of a telecommunications conglomerate in Peru with presence in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. He has also held roles of increasing responsibility at U.S. based multinational pharmaceutical companies, where he supported their global operations focusing in their Latin America businesses. These career experiences provided him with the opportunity to build a network of top-notch legal professionals throughout the major markets in Latin America, who share his commitment to the highest level of professionalism and integrity to serve the global business community.

Luis is an immigrant who came to the United States to study at the University of Miami School of Law, and has since undergone all the different stages of the immigration process to become a US citizen. He has a direct understanding of what it means to immigrate to a new country and culture.

His practice of immigration law started as an Associate Attorney at a prominent immigration law firm in Miami, Florida, where he successfully handled a vast array of immigration matters and represented clients before USCIS, the Department of Labor, and Immigration Court. Luis now advises companies and individuals on family and employment based immigration matters nationwide.

Outside of work, Luis enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, as well as traveling, playing volleyball, and singing Peruvian folk music with his friends in St. Louis, MO.

  • As a member of the Peruvian community of St. Louis, MO, Luis actively participates in fund-raising events and other activities; as well as enjoys performing with the Peruvian folk music band “Sentir Peruano”.
